Using a Professional/Executive/Life Coach

have used the services of an executive/professional/life coach on a couple of different times throughout the course of my career, and each time it has been helpful, and it was during times where I really needed some motivation. Some of the tools that I learned were setting daily goals that were challenging, but not impossible to meet. In the past I would set the goals to high and would never meet them, constantly setting myself up for failure. I also had one coach advise me to make a "dream" chart. This was a chart of "things" that I wanted to purchase when certain sales goals were met - you know, like a flat screen TV, a new computer, etc. This was very difficult for me to do since I am SO the opposite of that mentality, but it did motivate me and it allowed me have a little fun.
Have you ever used a Professional/Executive/Life Coach to help you get through some rough times? If so, what tips can you share with us here on the forum that you feel were beneficial in helping you get through your tough time?

Here is a link to our January article from a great full time Life Coach who discussed "Compelling Goals - How to Set and Achieve Them." If you missed this article, we hope it helps you move forward!
