What's up y'all - just wondering if any of you civil engineering recruiters who are experiencing a slow down have switched into recruiting for any other industries?  Land development is dead and government spending on infrastructure has been on the DL and will be until a new adminstration takes over and figures out how they are going to allocate funds towards infrastructure...so what have you been working on?  Have you left civil engineering altogether?  If so, what's hot?

Holla back if you like!  Grin

My team is holding tight and finding clients who are working in the environmental and federal programs fields.

We are still recruiting.  Slow down obviously in land design folks but transportation, environmental sciences and water/waste water steady.  This market will knock out the recruiters who climbed in and just threw resumes out there. Those that never really knew the civil engineering market.

It will seperate the girls from the women and boys from the men!  Grin

Unfortunately I do see TPRs reducing their fees just to get searches which are still tough.  They need work and are willing to drop fees or take an hourly rate just to get an assignment.  Don't they understand that their "clients" will NEVER raise their fees back up?
