Fellow Engineers, Hello!

I'm new to CivilEngineerCentral and am thankful this forum is available as a networking source for civil engineers in all sectors and industries.

I'm currently responsible for design and support related duties as a Project Engineer in the transportation industry in the Mid-Atlantic region. In the industry I have well over twenty years of combined experience in the areas of construction inspection, land surveying and highway design with the majority of the experience in highway design. I'm licensed as a PE and PLS.

I'm seriously looking to cross over back to field engineering in DOT construction after many years. My field engineering assignment in construction was the first in my career. Also my plans include relocation to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

I realize a resident or assistant resident position at this point would be difficult to break for starters. My desires are to assume some responsible role as a Field Engineer with potential growth. Any suggestions, contacts anyone may have to get back into construction would greatly be appreciated. Interested for working private firm or contractor also have applied with Army Corps in SW District.

Thank you.
