How long is it appropriate to wait before leaving a scheduled interview?  I arrived 15 minutes early for a scheduled interview.  I was kept waiting 45 minutes, told the person I was waiting for got held up on a conference call.  Then I was moved to a conference room where I sat for 15 more minutes before the individual arrived.

Aren't companies supposed to treat you the best during the interview process?  How long should I have waited?

i don't know that there is any sort of rule on this.

While that is very rude and unprofessional, the reality is that they have what you want. Unless you absolutely had to leave, you're sort of stuck waiting as long as necessary. They should have at least had someone else show you around or come in and talk to you about the company; give you some literature or something.  for what it's worth, I would have waited, too.
