After spending several years as Corporate Recruiter, I went back out to the headhunting world.  As an in-house recruiter/manager, I understood, and to this day, I understand the responsibility I had to protect my company, internal clients (hiring managers) and employees. I was respectful to the selected outside recruiters that I chose to work with as an extension of our recruiting team. To date, I am fortunate that I work with smart corporate recruiters who treat me well and in return they get my loyalty, market intelligence and support. BUT, I hear stories from teaming partners who deal with certain corporate recruiters who are so busy protecting their turf, puffing up their chests and egos that they let candidate afer candidate slip through their fingers.  They are hurting their companies and internal clients (hiring managers). Corporate Recruiters:  IF you don't want to work with an outside recruiter, tell them. Don't engage their services and then make it impossible for them to do their job!!! Angry
